About our cats

Seven cats live here. They are used to people but don't like too much attention. They go in and out freely, so they may not always be inside.

Cats may visit your room — you are welcome to spend time together, but please don't close the door completely. You may hold them, but please let them go if they don't like it.

None of our cats scratch or bite, but we cannot be responsible for any injury caused by the cats.

Cat treats: please don't give your own treats — some cats are ill. Treats are on the bookshelf on the 2nd floor (please put a coin in the box).

Luggage: cats may get curious about bags. Please keep backpacks and suitcases on the shelf.

Children: the cats don't like being chased, loud voices, or being touched while eating. Gentle cuddles nearby make them happy.

Private bath & shower

The private bath with a view is 60 minutes per group (40 minutes on busy days). We'll ask your preferred time at check-in.

The bath has no reheating — please add hot water to adjust the temperature.

The shower room is open 24 hours.

• Face wash, skin lotion, makeup remover
• Yukata (Japanese robes) to borrow — limited number

• 1F: dining room, shop corner, private bath, shower room, toilet
• 2F: toilets, washroom (toothbrush, hair dryer), drinks and cat treats (coin-operated)

House rules

No smoking inside (smoking is allowed on the terrace).

The front door is locked and lights go out at 11 pm.

You may bring your own food and drinks. A shared fridge and microwave are on the 2nd floor — please label your items.

Please separate your trash: bottles & cans, plastic bottles, burnable trash, diapers.

Parking for about 10 cars. Cats may be under your car — please check before you start the engine.

Our two children live here too, so it may sometimes be lively.

Kokeshi painting

Paint your own "nekokeshi" — a cat-shaped folk toy made of fragrant Japanese cypress from Kochi.
